Preventative HVAC Maintenance in Tucson, AZ

We don't realize how important our heating/air conditioning system is until something goes wrong. It quietly works to keep us comfortable year-round. The most important thing you can do to maintain your system is change the filter regularly.

There are three main types of filters.

Fiberglass or Polyester (Okay)

Inexpensive.
Disposable.
Good for capturing large particles like lint and dust.
It also clogs the coil faster and can make maintenance more costly, sometimes lasting only 1-2 weeks.

Pleated (Better)

Disposable.
A larger surface area captures more particles.
Merv-8 is recommended.
Always use the same size and type that is recommended.

Washable / Reusable (Option)

It can be cleaned and reused.
Requires monthly cleaning
Require replacement only every few years.
Only recommended for your specific system.

We recommend the pleated filters. Under normal conditions, they should last you up to three months while catching many of the particles that can lead to allergies, and more importantly, keep the evaporator coil clean.

We cannot stress enough the importance of this maintenance. Failure to regularly maintain your filter will lead to higher energy costs, costly repairs, and possibly even system failure. We recommend maintaining yearly service and older systems should install a carbon monoxide detector and have more frequent service.
